About
I grew up in Ontario, Canada always curious -- about gadgets, about faith, about why we are here and what holds the universe together. Somewhere along the way, my curiosity turned to creating companies, and somewhere along the way I ended up on a farm in Northern California with my wife Molly and our three daughters, still asking the same questions.
My first act was co-founding Turnstyle in 2012 -- a local marketing platform that grew into one of the largest networks in North America before being acquired by Yelp in 2017. My second act was as GM of Yelp Restaurants, where our team tripled LTV:CAC and grew to #1 market share in our largest metros. My current act is Lumo, where I'm bringing everything I've learned about growth to one of the most important problems on earth: food and water security.
But if you asked me what I actually am, I'd say: a person who takes curiosity seriously. I build companies. I write novels. I make music. I bake sourdough. I believe in science and I believe in God and I don't think those are opposites. I think the space between them is where the most interesting questions live.

2017 to 2022
GM, Yelp Restaurants
Led the Restaurant division following Yelp's acquisition of Turnstyle. Grew to #1 market share in our three largest metros, tripled LTV:CAC, and built a team that became one of Yelp's highest-performing business units.

Family
I live on a little farm in Occidental, California with my wife Molly and our three daughters. The farm is where most of the best thinking happens — between the morning chores and Sonoma Coast sunsets.
